| PLANKTONE is a half part of ex-MYCELIUM
2-man project. After the split of MYCELIUM, I-Van continue to develop the main
musical line that he invented when worked in ex-project. It consist of a lot of
musical-style components, but basic elements - intelligent/ trip-hop/ d'n'b/dub. The
principal conception of the project is to create emotional atmospheric music by means
of combination of "live" acoustical sounds and electronical basis. I-Van
prefer to work at compositions in own small home-studio. His
"workstation" contains synths of well-known musical firms like ENSONIQ and
KORG, |
drum-machines and drum-modules of ALESIS, plus tons of
different acoustic instruments. By the way, you can hear much of guitar sound in
practicalle event track, coz I-Van is a professional guitarist. Also, I-Van never use
sombebody else's themes and loops. What about his musical tastes, it's rather variuos. He
likes LUNATIC CALM, LTJ BUKEM, GOLDIE, RONI SIZE, PORTISHEAD, D.BOWIE, SONIC YOUTH, BOB
MARLEY, COCTEAU TWINS, DEAD CAN DANCE, etc.
